INDIANAPOLIS, April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP), the nation's largest health benefits company, announced today that it is included in this year's DiversityInc's list of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity. This is the eighth year that DiversityInc, whose editorial mission is to educate the marketplace about the business benefits of diversity, has published its rankings.

Top 50 companies demonstrate consistent strength in four areas: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications, and Supplier Diversity.
